European Scientist are desperate to beat Cosmetic Changes.

Scientists from Europe are desperately trying to develope new technology for Testing cosmetics before the European Union brings ban on animal testing from March 2009.Cosmetic companies in Europe are facing rapid tightening of European rules and regulations that apply to any company wanting to sell in the 27 Nation European Union.

Scientist have been useing advance materials like small circles of skin developed from donor cells harvested from cosmetic operations and reconstructed eye tissues, is an important part of the cosmetic Industries future.The ban in Europe is forcing large multinational companies to adopt new methods,

and is also helping to bring together the regulators in Brussels and agencies from the World,s other large cosmetic market,the FDA of the United States and the Ministry of health in Japan for regulations to be harmonized,more suprises are the new standards that are pushing longtime secretive rivals

to cooperate grudgingly and sometimes with prodding from regulators and ministers.The European Commissioner for Science Janez Potoenik was there this month at a meeting held for multinational companies and chided them for delaying the search for alternatives by failing to share information.

The stakes are high,the world,s leading cosmetic market is Europe,with exports of more than $23.4 billions worth of cosmetics annually,export of cosmetics from the United States to Europe is nearly $2 billion per annum ie.7 percent of the European market.Japan is the 2nd leading provider of cosmetics

to Europe after the United States.Dr Alan Goldberg Director of the Center for Alternatives to animal testing at John Hopkins University in Baltimore said "Without questions these regulations are having an impact""What company is going to want to eliminate 450 million customers by not complying?"

L'Oreal the cosmetic giant in the last 20 years has spent more than $800 million to the developement of alternatives to animal testing,while Procter& Gamble the American giant maker of the Cover Girl line has spent almost $225 million.Mr Herve Groux 45 years old French Immunology
